Burnsville Little Theatre
A non-profit group of local folks who do "community theatre", usually using the Parkway Playhouse building
just before their season opens and just after their season closes. We also use other places, when/if we can find them during
the cold months. All profits from our productions are donated to various causes in Yancey County, and where ever there is
a need, including (but not only) Parkway Playhouse, Reconciliation House, Family Violence Coalition, Red Cross 9/11 Fund,
etc. For more information, please write: Burnsville Little Theatre P.O. Box 132 Burnsville, NC 28714

Parkway Playhouse The
Parkway Playhouse, located in Burnsville, North Carolina, is the oldest continually operating summer theater in North Carolina. It was established in 1947 by W.R. Taylor, a professor
of drama from the Woman's College of North Carolina, which would later become the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. The Parkway Playhouse, for many years, was operated as a summer stock venue and a sponsored extension of the drama departments
at UNC-G and the University of Miami. In the 1990s the Parkway Playhouse became an independent theater company, and is now operating as a small professional theater
company serving the mountain region of Western North Carolina. 828-682-4285 info@parkwayplayhouse.com www.parkwayplayhouse.org
